Hello guys!
Sorry for my English. What is hp potential with good tune of M52B28 single vanos pistons on pump fuel? Especially with -1mm from top. Thanks!

Re: M52B28 pistons potential
You mean with 1mm shaven of from the cylinder head giving more compression ratio? Or 1mm taken of the piston top for lower compression? Anyway i dont think they will like high power on unleaded very much, especially not with higer comp ratio than stock.
If you meant lowerd comp ratio i'm guessing it could take around 350whp on pump gas with a good tune.
You would do much better on e85 and stock comp.
For unleaded gas and good power i think you should go fully built engine and significantly lower CR over stock.

Re: M52B28 pistons potential
Of course I mean 1mm taken from top of the piston to lower compression. In my config of M54B28 it will be around 8.8:1. I was now on 3.5mm Cometic MLS with Raceware head studs and have ~480 hp on 1.5 bar but seems like head has bad sealing every time when I drive 200-300 km/h in boost on highway antifreeze gone from expansion tank.
In town driving isn't so bad. Check all coolant hoses are OK. New expansion tank cap. Finally found small leak at the bottom of radiator 10cm wide black strip only on hot engine. Thinking about head drop and put Cometic in junk.

Do the job right.
