Hehe. Thanks a lot for updates. It is enjoyable to read about turbo-charging of euro s50b30 in understandable language . In Poland my M3T is 2nd and the latest one, so there aren't a lot of people who have experience with that engine.
I see you have one guy who does everything . Thanks to that you take pics only... and say Swedish jokes . Tiring job...
Seriously, are you going to remain an air conditioning? Before we started turbocharging we had removed all needless parts such as an air conditioning, a carrier, an air pump, a carbon filter housing, a few hoses and sensors etc.
Free room after removing the carrier:
shellack the holy M tomorrow!

hehe, between the photos iam doing some as well
The goal is to maintain all things like servo,ac,airpump and so on...its still a car that should run 1000km on highway without any serious problems bcs of turbo installation..but if we need to do some changes we will face that problem that day.
We want to build the car so original looking and discret so the "swedish authority" wont see any special when lifting the hood.
Even if we change turbo and hits the 700hp barier...i belive as daily driver it will run tops 550-600hp to save the internals for funny events
Friday´s work is just drinking some beer..watch IDOL yeah i know..im like a girl..but a girl with cold beer
Tomorrow is D-day...today Patrik pulled the goldcard to buy a enginehoist and a tilter for tomorrows work with the M3.
Not much more than this for today!

You’re pretty fast. Removing a cylinder head in my s50b30 lasted almost 2 weeks, but engine was still in a car.
I see your NA pistons are in worse condition than mines stock after blown head gasket. Piece of piston came off… that m3 had tough life with you . When I took out the cylinder head I was able to see inscription “S50B30, 10.8” .
Are you going to replace bearing shells?
What are specs of that red m3 whom you posted pics of? What’s the engine: B30 or B32? I see Vanos is removed. In what position did they put camshafts without vanos unit? Are they stock camshafts? Could you say more, Jonas? It might be via PM.
Regards,
Chris.

The pistons had alot of "carbon" rest´s..but the rest were very fine and precise...the engine/car has about 90 000km.
I could guess u would be interested in the red one hehe...its a B30
All bearings and gaskets will be replaced, we are sending the engine block to the engine tuner for matchbore to
I belive they are stock camshafts but i cant confirm it right now...i know MagnusB the owner is here from time to time at the forum so maby he can tell you him self
maleckis wrote:Did you order over sized pistons? Could you find out for me what length of SPM forged rods you bought is? What compression ratio are you going to have? 8.8:1?
Please, suggest him looking here and saying more about specs of his M3 .
Sure i will talk to Magnus and "fish" some info
the pistons are 8.8.1 , but if u have the B30 crank its diffrent with the rods anyway i belive ?! , Pistons are slightly overbored about 1/10 and regarding lenght of rods they are 139mm.
Here are some pictures of a swedish dildo!! (or maby just something that came in a package from AVESTA
The Crank...
The SPA turbo manifold
Matchported to the M3 exhaustports..
Last job..then carying out in the trunk of the car to be left at the local engine tuner tomorrow.
If everything works out good, we could have the engine and cylinderhead back by friday , so Patrik have to visit the local BMW shop and order some gaskets and bearings.
Rock n Roll!
From Russia with love!!...ok..Sweden.. it snows like hell anyway
