You dont have to be sorry, s54 turbo is a much better solution in a 3-series compared to a big and heavy s38.
The engine is smaller, lighter, more efficient, Mls head gasket as standard, and fits directly to the newer diesel gearboxes..
s54 ftw! especially with Vanos, gives insane spool!
S38 is for 5-series..
