thank you
I think I´m going to do that...what would be the best for the max power/weight ratio or the money/power ratio....say 500-1000hp range with a chassie that wieghts not more than regular e30?
maybe an e21 with the e28 suspension parts....and with the all mighty m30 engine...600hp coming soon. in the town near you..

Turbocharging is nice, but I´d rather be ALSO blown!
well, not much to tell.
Currently building bigger front brakes(312mm audi S3 rotors and e32 brake calibers). that´s why I needed new rims. 17" zender originals nice!
sold the AC rims.
Lost my lsd unit before snow came. now it´s dismantled and found out that one lsd disk lost it´s inner teeths and was welded to the case. Well lucky me we had nice precision machine at school. I got all other parts looking good/new besides the totally wasted molybdenum disks.
Now I´m building the lsd with new moly disks and machining the ramp angles too. The unit is going to have 4 disk pairs instead off two stock. Should be okay then. I guess the low end torq does something..
I might for now do somekind of boost control thru ecu since I don´t wan´t to machine the newly made crankshaft wheel any smaller before I get the exhaust/headers and the new camshaft and see what the boost is afterwards.
Paint job is waiting for money but the colour is allready decided otherwise I´m waiting for inspiration. I did buy new aluminium gearknob tho´ LOL...

I hope my rims are big enough.. I really like them and brakes can go before the rims
Since I´m having a trouble to find e32 brake calibers near by I´m thinking of using Saab 9000 -90-98 57mm piston calibers..same as aero has etc. all models have these and are easy/cheap to find..
restore/buy new and maybe fit a little smaller piston inside to maintain brake balance..about 44mm is what I would need for this 312mm disk to maintain original abs functioning and front/rear balance..I know I´m sick but I want all my disk to be blue again ...not just running out of those fronts. Well, we see if I´get into modifying those calibers for smaller pistons..
Also I´m making a new belt tensioner for he charger belt..should be tricky and nice. + some polishing coming too..rims and engine parts.[/img]

In the engine department hmm...
I´m installing knock sensors and K-type exhaust temp sensors etc. small datalogging things(I have 8 free channels... ).
Stainless steel Exhaust headers are coming, I hope, during summer time and bigger 3" exhaust system.
I also want a new camshaft that is around 290 degrees and has more lift
boost should be 1.2bars this summer..
not much more I can do with it anymore so that´s it basically..
hope I hit near 350hp
but here are the new brakes maybe I can stop little better now..or should I say fade free
little tight there somewhere with new pads
well they are ok..next the new belt tensioner and the differential conversion to 75% locker with 4 disks..
more pics of the brakes:
http://palkki.oulu.fi/%7Esamila/ppf2/
these are with saab 9000 calibers, they are smaller than bmw:s but manufactured also by ATE. I got little lucky to with them in these super small room rims..my old 16" AC:s had more room..but that I did not know..
when oh´ when do I have time to cover this baby with new colour.. and polish some irrelevant pieces..don´t know..

I´m currently installing m50 135mm rods and m50 vanos pistons for the car...had little trouble with originals and they lasted 10 000km.
Differential has been updated for 75% lock+4 disk pairs.
I installed original bmw front upper bearings with -.30 camber correction

Hi!
I am using the same brakediscs on my 325i -87 trackcar. And with Ferodo DS2500 they have very good brakeperformance!!!
Its realy interesting to read about your compressorcharging. Because i´m gona supercharge my beemer to. But i think i will use a Autorotor/Kenne Bell instead of Eaton. At first i´m aming for 0,5-0,8bar of boost. Also looking for 300hp

Nice to hear from you ...I would put autorotor too if I had the money for one :/...
this ported eaton is performing quite well for now and I think on building other project with my friend that should have 1000-1500hp(with turbos) so this is just summer toy after that . Supercharger power is really nice to drive.
Here is picture of my polished rims..little work still. My girlfriend has helped a lot with the base work! About 40%
I have street race 31.6 but I don´t know if I have enough time to get the engine back together..
Thanks, Bäckis! for fast delivery of couple pistons that I was seeking quite hard

It looks nice!
Its nice to hear about the nice engine behavior with supercharger!
How big CC do you need in the injektors when you have 300hk?
How much torque do you get with your boost? You did have 0,9bar in boost, right?
/Nisse

I have ford racing 465cc green 2.8bar injectors (42lbs)
Now the boost is about 1.3bars...maxing pretty much the fuel pump and injectors.
haven´t dynoed yet beacuse I can tune the car on the road..
Torque figures about the same as turbo cars with same pressures..
but low end torq..too much maybe..I think I can brake gearbox etc. if I want ( using high gear with low rpm)
Last autumn I had 0.85bars allready at 1600rpms with peak boost 1.38bars around 5500rpm.. all this with full throttle of course.

I have street race this weekend and have to see if the times are better with 1.3bars than last year with 0.8bars..
I think I can hit low/mid 13:eens with street tires. 60 foot times are shit..
end speed around 175km/h or so..
we´ll see how I can snitch the 60´foot times
I don´t have too much time to tune the car so I hope I have time to install my EGT meters and get somekind of device to hear my knock sensors(installed them allready but not connected to ECU yet..)
Don´t want to melt the pistons etc. again now that I have the m50 parts in the engine..

Oh it sounds nice! But maybe its not good if we can get so much torq on low revs so the gearbox and stuff brakes apart....
Maybe its safer to try the centrifugalblower... But it must be fun with all of that lowend torq!
Before i was thinking about buying a nice centrifugal blower, and put a wastegate on after it, so i could get full boost at midrange and then dump the overpressure out and back infront of the blower intake. I think i should work. I talked to ESS about it, and they says that it could work. But maybe i can get some negative "bumps in boost" if you understand what i mean Its hard to get a smooth "blowoff funktion" they say.
I still dont know how to do, or witch blower to get.

Some new pictures of the car..+something else from motorshow
http://palkki.oulu.fi/%7Esamila/hts2007/
(Also now has m50 conrods and vanos pistons, any idea about compression ratio with stock head+gasget? 7,5..?)
then the problem..
Boost is about 1.3bars at 4000rpm..but gradually getting down to 1bars flattening the hp curve badly..
Made ultragrip pulley for the blower..but only little help..
So main problem is:
boost leak?
belt slip?
airfilter?
exhaust?
overdriving the blower? (should not be there yet..)
etc.
Some datalogs/dyno pulls..
http://palkki.oulu.fi/~samila/dynot/
EGT:s were under 900..around 760-850´C mainly..
EGT probes about 7-10cm from ports(valves), stock bolt location in stock manifold..
Tatech dyno pull..no grip pulley yet-->belt slip+went out off fuel..installed second pump untill 044 bosch arrives.
powerdyn pulls today..still rich(had no time for more tuning today).
Ignition advance has no effect anymore..(max 16-21 no knocks..no power gain after 4000rpm)
fuel ok, injector timing ok,
(have to switch 1pulse/r injection..DC too high now with 2/r)
no ignition misses.
So..Biggest problem is now loosing boost..looking at the datalogs I think I still have belt slip or my airfilter is not up to the task(not suprising..)
exhaust might restrict some power too..(2x2"-3" put with some sound baffles in one joint near rear muffler..can take those off quickly)
Any ideas/info anyone?
Winter plans:
ported head
higher compression
adjustable cam gear
headers+3" exhaust all the way
better more agressive cam
cog belt drive system for blower
(Maybe?..turbo install with keeping the blower too ..size about hx40-55 etc. to get the 60-80hp of from driving the blower)

Turbocharging is nice, but I´d rather be ALSO blown!
Datalogged pressure between airfilter and blower after Throttle body..nothing to do there...drop was only about..0.05bars.
Tomorrow I´m building logger interference for logging blower RPM to find out possible belt slip issues..
It´s looking now that the blower is maxed out at 4700rpm since the IAT`s are going up too.
It even might be usefull to drop the blower rpm..
This can also be done by making the engine breath better.
I´m going to log the exhaust back pressure too just to make sure that there is nothing strange happening. Too much back pressure-->messing the blower efficiency etc..

datalogged the blower and I can see about 7-15% of slip after 4000rpm..
New Figures out of engine with 1.05bar are 310hp/475Nm 5100/4000rpm with more flowing exhaust..trying to get 350hp next.
I´m making a cog pulley set during winter time and making the engine breath better.
Datalogs and dynos from today..
http://palkki.oulu.fi/~samila/dynot/
PS: I had 1bar exhaust back pressure before..now it´s 0.6bars. Made 20hp alone with that.
still too rich after 5000rpm and flat ignition curve after 5000rpm..so few hp should be hiding there.
350hp is doable.

Nice! Its very fun to se the figures Im now waiting for the finetuning of ignition map.
What kind of exaust do you have before with 1bar backpressure?
I have made my self a steinless exaust system with shorty headers (extractor) to a 2x2" and then in to a 100cell race cat, and after that a 2,5" pipe back to an ending 2.5" freeflow muffler. I hope that don´t give me to much backpressure when i supercharge it later.
So you aming for 350hp with the 1,05bar of boost and some finetuning. Me like!!
