Forget trying 900hp with just petrol on s engine, anything above 500 will force u to run really low ignition = heat!

Use e85 for positive result ;)

Based on what? My s54 turbo made 800whp whit 98 octane. That damn close to 900hp i'd say.. Maybe its a bigger problem on the s50. I dont know.

Well i still havent got to dyno, but we did dyno about week ago driftcar with S50B30 engine.

Spec list for this S50B30 engine is:

CP Pistons with 8,5cr
PPF Rods
ACL Bearings
PPF support gridle
Cooperring headgasket
ARP head studs
PPF valve springs and retainers
Vanos delete
1280cc injectors
Vems EMS
Holset HX52

It did pull 700rwhp@1,8bar with regular 98e pump fuel

Last year i did pull 514hp@0,8bar with Holset HX50 and stock S50B30 with vanos delete(allso with regular 98e pump fuel and 10,8cr).

I hope to get to dyno in this week with my new engine and then we see how much hp i get with 98e  . If i dont reach my goal with regular petrol then im just going to use racing fuel, because you cant buy e85 in Estonia.

Some better pics of my car.

What cams were used on that drift car? Did you measure backpressure?
And what about the turbo, what size wheels and turbine housing.

About your project, nice work!

We didn`t measure backpressure, but in dyno the max egt was 750c. Turbine housing is 16 ,but i cant remember what size the wheels are. If you want i can measure compressor wheel tomorrow
Cams are stock.

Today i did go to dyno, but i didn`t get boost above 0,9 bar with ebc because i have 0,3bar wg springs. The result was 688hp & 792nm from engine with 0,9bar boost(regular petrol). Next week i`m going back to dyno with 1,0bar wg springs :D

I still don`t control vanos because i`m having some issues with cam trigger, but soon i will control vanos aswell(right now it`s just set max retard).

Ok, but what kind of diff bushings to use? Right now i use stock diff bushings(all other rear axel bushings are plastic).
Today i did go to dyno again and we did make really safe street mode map(really safe map to compensate unsteady fuel quality in Estonian gas stations). The result with very safe fuel and spark tables was 830hp & 870nm @ 1,4bar boost from engine ( 729rwhp). EGT never went above 650c.

Never went above 650c? Something is very wrong!

Nothing is wrong there, this is the result of long exaust manifold runners and safe AFR(lambda 0,77-0,76 @ full boost). EGT sensor is about 4cm from 6cyl port.

Sounds really strange, im logging 850c on full boost (1,5bar) on e85 (lambda 0.80) with my egt mounted 4cm from cyl 4 port.

What kind of exhaust manifold you use? Long runners do make really big differense with those engines. My exhaust manifold pipes are about 1,2m long each

Alot shorter but does that really make a big difference when you measure 4cm from port outlet of the head?

No it doesn´t. Must be something wrong with that egt sensor. You should have 650 at part throttle.
