Bmw E36 Turbo questions

Post by mestew87 »

Hi firstly i will apologize for posting in english and secondly sorry if i have placed this topic in the wrong place.

I am currently looking to buy either a 325 or 328 coupe and wanting to turbo it. The power output i would be looking/hoping for would be around 400-500bhp. What sort of prices would i be expecting to pay for a turbo system like this and what parts would i need to get?

Thank you
Michael

This is the PPF 325 Vanos turbokit.

Exhaust mainfold
Turbo
Head Gasket
Bolts
Injectors
Software
Intercooler
Pressure pipes
Airfilter
Special LMM
Wastegate
Walbro fuel pump
BOW

Clutch and exhaust system is not included.

Cost arround: 6 922 - 7 551 USD with todays currency.

- I just found the info for you. Bäckis or Ärtan will have to tell you if it's complete and the pricing i found is correct.

I'm guessing that it should work fine on a 328 aswell

The software is made for 325 VANOS so it will not work on a 328.
The engineblock is also made of aluminium on the 328, which doesn't hold up to 400bhp.
I'm not sure but I think I've read somewhere that the block is all-aluminium on the 325 too in the USA. Where are you from?

No. Not without changing the engine management system to an aftermarket.

The turbokit Peppe discribed is a "bolt-on"-kit that includes a larger Air Mass Meter (AMM) and the chip included in the kit is programmed specially for it.
