Good luck :)

Going for 750whp now? The 6765 works great on my engine, you wont be dissapointed. Which EMS do you run?

On my old setup i was using Megasquirt MS2 with distributor cap. I had a lot of problems with it.

I will be using VEMS V3.3 with MSD coils for my new setup. I really would like to make 600whp. Do you think my engine parts will handle?

600whp willl be no problem at all. The only thing in your setup that i haven't seen in a high power engine is the "e" crankshaft, but it will probably handle it as every other BMW crank. Do you know if it's forged or cast iron?

The crank is Cast. I talked to Andreas, he says that it should be ok. As lon g as i keep RPM below 7500rpm. Which i think is ok with Z45 turbo cam. If it was Z58 then i would need the more RPM

I also did a manual brake conversion too. So no more vacuum brakes and i now have a Line Lock for brakes for making burn outs a lot easier :)

I started with a 1/2" square aluminum plate. did all the measurements and drilled the holes for mounting. I moved the master cylinder up 1". Then tapped the aluminum plate to mount the MS.

Then I removed the brake pedal and cut off the existing pushrod mount. Drilled a 1" hole up from the stock location and slid a 7/16" bolt through. Then i used the factory pushrod link with a 6" M10 bolt and cut the hex end off of it.

Mounted everything up and set the correct pushrod length. Once that was all set i figured out where i wanted the line lock. Then i bought metric to AN fittings and a 37 degree flaring tool. Cut the lines to Length then connected!

I finally drove the car today! Its been a long time. The car went on the dyno last week but oil was leaking on the clutch causing it to slip. I pulled out the transmission and fixed up the leak. Now it drives well but need to be retuned. I cant wait to put the new 2.8L "PPF" M20 engine in the car. :D

Nice! How far away are you from installing the 2,8 in the car now? Good luck!

the engine is still at machine shop. just need to install new valve seals in the head. Also check piston to valve clearance.

The car idles very well too. The Weldon fuel pump is loud hehe :D I will post a video of the car this weekend.

Also does anyone know the if the Innovate DB Gauge is compatible with Vems 3.3?
