Patte?
What are you talking about, guys?
When will you start turbocharging? Are you going to upgrade clutch, pressure plate, etc.? Now I have everything stock and clutch slips sometimes. I would like to think all possibilities over. I read somewhere that putting pressure plate from BMW 3.0d is a good idea. What do you think?
Regards,
Chris.
I think we will get some Sahcs pressureplate...cant tell exact wich one..possible the 765 with some small mods..PPF got what we need i hope
Before we were talking about the pistons...our goal of 600hp is probably only a dream if using std pistons...i guess we have to upgrade these..so we r talking about this.
In about 2weeks were the plans to start booosting...now we have to wait for some bearings , rods and pistons + a new "smaller/thinner" MLS gasket..thats the new plans i guess..ass mentioned prettyy stupid to blow a S52 when risk is pretty big going oem..

I belive that 400 i safe, 500 will last for a while and 600 will be a short but funny time running the engine with booooost.

I meant a pressure plate. Is it also so weak?
Jonas, what pistons and rods did you order? I look forward to reading news about your project.

Hey Maleckis..
We didnt deside yet...but we done some affairs with PPF in past and with my car, and it works good every time so, looks it could be some Wiseco pistons and possible SPM rods for this, i will keep updating when news r avaible.
Patte was here today and we spent an hour infront of the cpu and youtube watching some Bmw turbo´s....getting some inspiration

Just ja...nyfylld AC...d ryker gött d
;)
Tjena kompis...senap ketchup?!?

I’m happy you have started the job. Good luck and I hope you will keep us updated
. I have recently blown a head gasket in my M3 and today I got back the cylinder head from a machine shop. You can read more in Fear This's thread.
What pistons and rods have you chosen eventually?

I don't know if I understood correctly… Are you going to use Walbro fuel pump and stock one? Both in a fuel tank or inline?
Best Regards,
Chris.

Sorry Chris...i forget ur reading the thread
We will go with the stock M3 intank pump + a inline walbropump in a serie, regulated with a Aeromotive fpr or similar !
Cheers!!

No problem. You don’t have to translate everything
. If I would like to get to know something I hope I can ask you.
... and what about pistons and rods? Which one have you ordered? What are their specs (I mean: piston bore, piston stroke, rod length, piston’s compression ratio)?
Good night,
Chris.

Good night,

I think Andreas here at PPF can answer that question regarding lenght/dim of pistons and rods, but brand is SPM rods and Wiseco pistons.

Ok, lets do it for Chris

Today we kept sorting out and disconnected wires and such to clear out for lifting the engine out.
Engine should be in the mont before friday 2000
Patte feels exited...soon soon
He kneels to the big engine...
Mr MPOWER him self....the beast...
So finaly i would like to end this day by saying...the Motorsport division of BMW that builds these engines aint some kids picked from the street..this is art and true racing thinking behind everything...its really a damn sexy engine
Cheers!!

Update:
Today´s 2 hours of work were mainly under the car and pull bolts from the gearbox/engine so we can lift with gearbox still in car.
Of course "murphy" were in the garage as well so we got some "nuts" to break
...swedish joke...or something..*ehm*
But after standing with my head in the boxes in the shelf i found some special tools to pull the last 2 bolts on top of the gearbox *puh*..very good this isnt the first bmw that have been tuned in this garage
Just at that happy moment Patrik said on swedish..."Allt går utom trasiga klockor o små barn"
...dont know how to translate in english so for those of u doesnt understand....read a book or dont bother
but we were happy strungling this mess out with the bolts
...so we pulled the exhaust apart and the ox sensors away
Tomorrow or on friday the "holy M" is leaving the engine bay for a while.
Stay tuned!
Peace out and holy smoke god bless u all tire burners and turbofreaks
