...Not again
Reason? I managed to change the engine position after modifying steering rack mounts, so when I renewed engine mounts I positioned it as low as possible and even further back. Besides the welds looked terrible now that I've learned to TIG somehow
Upcoming version will be looking quite different.
Now that I got the taste of cutting I cut the comp housing outlet too:
To change it to this:
Few Finnish fellows were inquiring M20/M30 cam sensor covers from us as we had made some 3D printed prototypes earlier (in co-operation with
Juuso's Garage), these anodized aluminum versions are about to arrive soon:

This week I started and finished making a coolant reservoir and oil catch can with crankcase + cylinder head ventilation:

One more aluminum tank.. Fuel surge tank that has been in progress for a loong time. It needed a baffle inside, end cap and AN fittings for fuel in and out, unfortunately AN6 fittings were out of stock at the local store so I wasn't able to completely finish it
Underneath my FPR with AN10 in/outlets:
Finally got this part I've been waiting for, shiny aluminum bit from Italy:

Okay where were we..
Oil pan bolted to the engine and it still fits, couple of small additions need to be done before I can say it's complete. Oil stick will be attached with AN fitting, as easy as it gets:
I ordered a batch of AN12 fittings and hose for IC water lines and oil breather lines (yeah I already welded stupid hose fittings in the breather can so I need to change them):
Had to push the car out while cleaning the garage, notice my nice new wheels:

This Project is awesome!
Really looking forward to see how the body turns out when its Complete
What Dimension pipe do you have on the coolant and breather tank?

Thanks! I'll continue with the bodywork now that the weather gets warmer, two corners have a good progress, but still lot to do
AN12 hose is 17,5mm ID, but fittings are 15mm. The Bosch water circulation pump for the intercooler has 15mm ID connections, so that hose size should be ok for the application.

Bodywork fabrication continues, driver's side is already quite good. I remade the side skirt model which is much simpler, lighter and should work better. I'll take a picture for the next post.
Before I cut the hood I made a tunnel for the radiator, all the air goes in front bumper and then exits the hood vent, should be effective enough.
I tried to remain some orginal body shapes yet not forgetting functionality.

I spent few days with the hood before our holidays, to be continued next week. To perceive the next part of the puzzle I already cut the front bumper in pieces

I cannot comprehend how much work has gone into this project, I envy your welding talent and fabrication skills.

Me neither, but I think that's a lot of work
Soon it's time for updates.. Tomorrow I should be able to lay some fiberglass to front bumper, currently it's riveted together with sheet metal pieces. Spending my holidays from work so I've got time to make some progress hopefully
I got some interesting parts in my hands lately, makes me rethink my front setup:

So... the front bumper. This is how it looked with sheet metal "mold", quickly threw together for next step:
Some fiberglass laid behind, total 4-5 layer was used to get enough stiffness:
Took off the sheet metal parts and this is the result, next some filler..
