If there are any signs of cracks get it down to BMW for a check, If any of the cracks are over 20mm (i think) they have to replace the complete boot floor with the new stronger item and will also inject structural foam into the rails to prevent it happening again, This is all done free of charge ...

Have you checked your rear subframe mounting points for any signs of cracking?
Its a common weak place for both the E36 and E46

Very nice project you have going on there, Does the stock m54b30 engine have oil squirter's for the pistons or are you adding them ? How much did your friend charge for the cnc'd oil squiters
